I am Paul Townsend, founder and owner of Shine On. A life long ‘petrolhead’, my love of detailing started many years before I could drive a car, even if I didn’t know that’s what it was called! A love of cars and a talent for attention to detail has been inherited from my Father, along with many other attributes for which I’m very grateful.
Running my own business was a long time dream, realised in 2006 when I was able to turn a hobby and fascination into a career. I haven’t looked back since, and am proud to have worked on some of the most amazing vehicles ever produced, often rarely seen in public.
When not working, my love of cars continues into other hobbies. I’m always happy when I can find an excuse to drive my classic E30 BMW, I love trackdays and trips to the Nurburgring with friends. It also means I can excercise my other love, photography. My wife constantly complains I never pick cheap hobbies…..
However, the biggest thing in my life since Summer 2010 has been the arrival of my beautiful son, Oliver, with whom I’m always grateful to spend time with. Who knows, there might be a young apprentice there in a few years!

I personally plan to use this service at least every 8months to keep the cars looking at their best.
