Quite rightly, the most common question I get asked is ‘How do I look after my car once it’s been detailed?’ After spending money getting car to look its best, this is a very sensible question indeed. I have put together an Aftercare Kit using the best quality products to make your life easy whilst keeping your pride an joy looking its very best.

Available on the day I carry out the work for just £40, you will get the following:

An extremely plush Lambswool washmit – time to throw that old sponge away!

A soft and absorbent microfibre drying towel to replace your old chamois. This will absorb ten times its own weight in water, and minimizes the risk of scratches and swirls.

A bottle of pH neutral car shampoo. Specially sourced to be very concentrated and therefore excellent value for money, two capfuls to a bucket of warm water will give lots of cleansing gentle suds, perfect for cutting through the grime on your car. It is safe for all finishing products we use, which means it won’t strip any waxes or sealants.

A large, heavy duty white bucket, complete with a secure sealing lid and convenient carrying handle (ideal if you needed to transport water, for example to rinse the car at a show or exhibition). It also makes an ideal storage place for your car care products.

A grit guard that fits the bucket perfectly. During the wash, rubbing the washmit against the grit guard removes particles from the mitt, letting them fall to the bottom of the bucket and prevents you picking them up again to scrub against the car. A grit guard, combined with the lambswool washmit, is the best thing you can do to help minimize swirls reappearing in your paintwork.

If there is anything else you would like supplied on the day, for example, and acid-free wheel cleaner, a specific wax etc, please let me know beforehand so I can make sure I have it. If you decide on the day and I don’t happen to have it with me, don’t worry because it can easily be forwarded on to you.
